A reader thanks Dan Savage

Dan Savage is running fan mail this week at "Savage Love." Naturally, my favorite letter was this one:

I owe you a thank-you. Since I began reading your column over a year ago, I have realized my sexual desires are not perverse (and if they are, certainly nothing to be ashamed of) and began talking with my girlfriend about experimenting with them. As such, the two of us have moved on from anal-sex toys and are now about to embark on full-on pegging. She's as excited about it as I am, and we wouldn't have gotten to such a level of sexual satisfaction if not for the work you do. I'll be thinking of you while my girlfriend bangs my hot ass!

  1. Something odd I thought worth mentioning, I try to check your blog daily for updates and today I see three days of posts that were not loaded last night. I am thrilled to see the posts but wondering about the latency. I have seen a lot of debate between Blogger and Wordpress and wonder if this delay is part of that discussion. Regardless, I am happy to see the posts and hope you are well.

  2. It's because I have my Delicious links set up to post every night at 1 a.m. (I didn't choose the time, and I don't know how to change it.) Then they go into my draft posts, and they don't show up for readers until I edit them and publish them. And sometimes that doesn't happen right away.

(I can't always be online at 1 a.m., you know! I might be pegging my boyfriend or -- gasp! -- getting my beauty rest!)

Then when I do finally post them, they still have the original date.

I think I could change this, such that my Delicious links posted automatically without my having to do anything, but I like to edit out the stuff about "e-mailed from Google" or whatever.

Anyway, I'm glad you checked and you didn't miss anything.

    Yours,
    Vickie P.

P.S. I came to Blogger after using another blogging platform, which shall be nameless. I was not happy that they banned my pages from their tag pages, where I was getting most of my referrals.
