Othello by William Shakespeare: A review

I posted this to GoodReads not too long ago.  Over there, I hid the spoilers, but I figure my readers here are more literary sorts who already know the plot.

I read "Othello" in high school and this is what I remember. So, Othello is this dashing African man serving in the Venetian military. Desdemona is a young woman from one of the most prominent families in Venice. She falls in love with Othello and marries him. And why not? He's strong, he's brave, he tells good stories. He's hot, I'm sure of it. (Just reading between the lines here, and my teacher said Shakespeare was bi, based on some stuff he wrote in the Sonnets.)

Some folks don't approve, though. Othello is subject to a lot of prejudice, and he's insecure inside. Othello gets jealous of Cassio, the cute young officer serving under him, when Desdemona has a friendly chat with him.

[Spoiler:
Desdemona probably would have liked to serve under Cassio, if you know what I mean. But they weren't screwing at all! It was all a lie made up by this Iago guy. But then Othello kills her anyway.]

I was so disappointed by the ending. But Shakespeare can write, so I give it four stars.

Birthday wishlist: an open letter to The Boyfriend

Dearest Boy,

As you know, my birthday is coming up. It's not a big one like a couple years ago,¹ but a girl's birthday is a girl's birthday, so I'm dreaming big. (I know I may not get any of these wishes, but being with you will make it a special day.)

Two men lavishing all their attention on me. (You are welcome to join in as one of the male participants, my sweet, or you could arrange for two other men to make love to me.)

• A mature wife asks her hubby to arrange a threesome with his friend for her birthday. She's "just a very sexual person," she explains.
• Another mature white wife takes two black lovers for her birthday.

Same as above, except that the men give some (homoerotic) attention to each other, for my viewing pleasure. (You are welcome to join in here, too, if you want to indulge your bisexual tendencies.)

• Her boyfriend (?) brings her flowers and sings happy birthday, but her real gift is a threesome with another man
• A mature wife and hubby are in bed celebrating her birthday, when a friend shows up. What's he doing here? Is he just here to film? Is he a playmate for the wife? Or is he a playmate for both of them? Spoiler: The answer becomes clear when he starts to suck hubby's penis.

Moresome

Three or more men and li'l ol' me. Sorry, no women, I'm not very interested in lesbian activity.

• Hubby takes wife to party with four guys on her birthday
• White wife gets various birthday presents, then she hooks up with three black men
• For her 50th birthday, hubby surprises his wife with three men
